Winky Sze-wai Chan

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Winky Sze-wai Chan is a multidisciplinary artist based in Hong Kong and the UK. Followed by her study in fine art photography and performance, Chan creates her work with mixed media, including performance, photography and installation, which examine the journey of life and issues around her. Founded The Rose Lab in 2025, a creative laboratory, aimed to foster cultural and intellectual exchange among people of diverse backgrounds and identities. In the same year, she co-founded “Art Rice”, a Cantonese Podcast to promote visual art.

Being exposed to the world of Cantonese Opera and dance at a young age, she continued her performing arts journey afterwards. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Cinematic Design and Photographic Digital Art from the Open University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong Metropolitan University) in 2023. In 2024, she graduated in Performance: Physical Acting from the University of Kent with distinction.
