Kanta Biswas is a software engineer by profession and a passionate theatre practitioner with over a decade of experience both on and off the stage. An avid theatre-goer, she enjoys exploring a wide range of productions, from Shakespearean classics and contemporary dramas to musicals and experimental theatre.

For the past five years, Kanta has been writing theatre and book reviews, covering both local and international productions. Her reviews go beyond performance and production values, exploring the cultural and social impact of theatre—how stories resonate with audiences, challenge perspectives, and reflect the world around us. She is passionate about thoughtful, engaging criticism that celebrates the power of storytelling while considering the wider conversations each production inspires.

When she is not at the theatre, Kanta enjoys reading, writing, and travelling, documenting her experiences and cultural discoveries along the way. Based in the UK, she is delighted to be part of the Theatre Unfiltered team.
